Survey shows that NYC has the rudest cabbies

A recent survey by hotel booking site -Hotels.com indicates that most people think NYC has the rudest cabbies in the country

Funnily enough I have yet to have a 'bad' cabbie experience in NYC. Have any of you? What has been your worst( or even best) experience in a NYC cab?

When the time comes for me to take a cab, I have yet to find one rude. Most have been polite and thanked me.

I wonder why this is? Because it's very very very very very RARE that a cabbie is from anywhere even close to New York City. My hypothesis is that the rude cabbies have gotten used to having some rude customers.

I have had a few bad apples, but mostly cabbies are pretty nice...
