"Business District"

Since this is the downtown district, there is a lot of people and bustle. Traffic can be a bit much. However, if you walk, you shouldn't have a big problem. For your choice of restaurants there is Johnny Rockets and Tringali's to choose from. Bus transportation is great and it is relatively easy to navigate. Suntrust Bank, Mayor's Office, Capitol - they are all here - and close. To get away, there is Woodruff Park to take a quick stroll. Roly Poly on Park Place makes the tastiest soups and sandwiches, also.

"Take a Stroll Down Hill"

Within walking distance of the zoo and Grant Park, this is the ultimate location to live. This street runs along the southern part of the city and is easily accessible to get to through public transportation. There is Grant Central Pizza that is definitely a treat. Rawson Washington Park is close so that you can take a stroll or a jog easily. This road is also pretty to walk down - there is some heavy traffic, however, so you'd want to be careful with kids. The schools in this township are very good, also.

"David Road is a Dream!"

David Road is right across the expressway from Embry Hill shopping center. It is very conveniently located in a quiet part of Atlanta. These houses and lawns are definitely well taken care of. David dead ends on Embry one way and simply dead end's the other. It is a VERY quiet neighborhood for those seeking this. Along Chamblee Tucker Road, you can basically eat any type of cuisine that you'd like. North Hills shopping center is close by. Along 23, there is also another shopping center.

"A Cul De Sac in the Middle of Atlanta"

I can only dream of living on this street, as it is so beautiful. This is Georgia at its best - large houses and lots of land. This street is at a perfect location with the zoo, airport (DeKalb/Peachtree), and parks just minutes away. You will also be relatively close to the interstate (285/85). There are many lakes that one can visit throughout the city. Peachtree Golf Club is also about 10 minutes away for the avid golfer. Mercer University is within walking distance of this neighborhood. Embry Village Wine, Mr. Cue Billiards/Burgers. Little Cuba - these are just some of the restaurants / hang outs nearby.

"Close to Spelman and Clark Atlanta"

Great little restaurant, Johnny Cakes, and other restaurants - No Mas Cantina, etc. in close proximity with Peters St. There really isn't much going on here, you'd need to go into the city - like Decatur and Memorial to get some action. It is great for students in Clark Atlanta or Spelman - about 5 minutes away. Close to interstate 20 for those that travel - also Greyhound. A lot of apartments in this area and definitely not your surburban neighborhood. Traffic is pretty smooth.

"Everything at your fingertips."

Walking down this street everyday, I knew that I would love living in this neighborhood. Everything is right at your fingertips. Like New York City, everything is around the corner. There are restaurants for all different tastes. There is Calabash for the vegetarian eater and Buddy's Snack Bar. On Broad, you can easily shop at Fox's. Department of Justice is closeby. Traffic is atrocious and probably would be smarter to take Public Transportation to travel, even though you're not too far from 85 or other highways.

"Well - the view of Mitchell is Great!"

Probably not the greatest place to live in all of Atlanta. I mean, there are so many abandoned buildings, construction, people, etc. It can be a bit dreary for the one looking for 'peachtree Georgia' living. Great for the ones working in the business district as it is only minutes away from the Mayor's office and the Capitol. If you want to take a little walk, you can hang out at Georgia Plaza Park - lots of good restaurants nearby. A lot of colleges and institutes are also nearby so it's ideal for college students. Mitchell St. SW tends to be cleaner and reticent of what Atlanta is all about.

"Quiet and Clean"

This is a wonderful neighborhood in New York's Upper West Side. 74th ends at Riverside Dr. which is a beautiful place to take a walk. On the other side of 74th you can end up in Central Park West. The roads are not usually too busy until you get closer to Broadway and Amsterdam. The Fairway Market is conveniently close by and banks are relatively easy to get to. There are restaurants all along Broadway or Amsterdam, whichever direction you wish to travel.

"Amsterdam and Broadway Join Together"

Alice's Tea Cup on 73rd is a must see when you move into this neighborhood. They have a great selection of desserts and teas and trinkets. The restaurant even serves delicious food - rare for a tea shop. You get the best of all of Uptown with Amsterdam and Broadway coming together. There are many shops that sell just about anything you can think of - there's never a shortage of what you need. The schools in this area are also high caliber for public schools. There is the Beacon Theater close by for seeing a show. And finally, Central Park West is not too far away if you want to go for a walk.

"Nice Neighborhood"

The Upper West Side is one of the cleanest parts of NYC. On 69th, there are hotels surrounding this area and is somewhat quiet. Nearby, you can visit the 17 Street Playground, or if you prefer you can walk a few blocks to get to the Loews Movie Theater. Closeby, is the School for Performing Arts, and some wonderful Public Schools. Friendliness is not one of the strong points on this side of town. There is great shopping places along Broadway and Columbusand 66th Street Lincoln Center, again, all within walking distance. And if you want to get away you can walk to Central Park West.

"Simply, Beautiful."

This area of New York is beautiful - well, the Upper West Side tends to be, anyway. There is a wonderful restaurant called Fairway Cafe that specializes in Barbecue. New York Historical Society is also nearby. But best of all, Central Park West is within walking distance. With Broadway just down the street, you are able to shop and eat in the vicinity. Traffic is nothing to brag about, as it does get congested by sightseers. West End Ave is also close by for shopping and restaurants.

"Definitely Upper Crust"

West 73rd is in the middle of the Upper West Side. Surrounded by Amsterdam, Broadway, and Central Park West, this is the place where you can find anything in the city. From shopping to restaurants, such as the famous Gray's Papaya - the best hotdogs around, you are never bored. You can walk down the street and be in Central Park West in about 15 minutes. The Beacon theatre is also close by and after a night on the town, you can watch a play. Traffic can get somewhat heavy.

"You Can See Central Park!"

New York City's Oldest museum can be found in this neighborhood along with Central Park. These brownstones are beautiful and the neighborhood is always kept clean. For the shopper, there are dozens of shops along Columbus or Amsterdam. Broadway is just a few minutes away. Most traffic passing through is either for the Planeterium on W 77th or the Historical Museum. It is a relatively quiet neighborhood. For people with kids, there is the Tecumseh playground nearby.

"Upper West Side at Its Best"

The Hayden Planeterium is just one of the great things about this neighborhood. This is the upper west side so things are done with flair here. The Tecumseh Playground is not your average city park. There are so many things to do - handball, basketball, and the best slides and such. It does get a little tight when school buses bring loads of kids to the park. W 77th is right off of Broadway, so you get the shopping and restaurants of Broadway without the traffic - partly because it is a oneway street. Columbus and Amsterdam do sandwich us in. For exercise you can take a jog down to Central Park West. I love NY!

"Beacon Hill Area is Beautiful"

Well, just the fact that Louisa May Alcott lived in this neighborhood would be a clue that the houses are somewhat pricey. It is so worth it, with the "square" historic feel and tourists constantly stopping to ask questions. This block is very quiet and ;most travel on foot. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance for those of culinary leanings. The people are very friendly and take pride in their neighborhood. Finally, Boston Common is within walking distance and is a wonderful place to exercise or just hang out.

"Come to the East Village!"

The East Village is the heartbeat of New York. The East River Park always has special events and is teeming with people during the holidays. This area is definitely not for the one seeking solace. For those interested, there is a Marble Cemetary close by; this is known as the oldest cemetary in New York City. If you walk far enough, you can view the Williamsburg Bridge. Katz's Deli sells the best Pastrami sandwiches - located just off of East 1st. There is definitely not a shortage of restaurants and shopping to do on East 1st. I also purchased some pickles that were to die for at a little shop along East 1st that also sells all types of cheeses and Grecian foods.

"Between Madison Square Garden and Times Square"

8th Avenue, located in West Midtown, is a wonderful place to be in New York - especially around Christmas time. My relatives loved to visit and see all the decorations. Sometimes we would even make a visit to Rockefeller by subway (East Midtown). A visit to Koreatown is within walking distance and there is a restaurant, Kum Gang San, that has absolutely delicious food and it looks like falling rocks inside the restaurant. There are many other restaurants that you can choose from - not only Korean food. If you don't mind a short walk, you can visit Central Park West. And don't forget, you can always catch a fight/game at the Garden, which is right outside your front door!

"Tennis Anyone?!"

Living on East 96th is what New York is all about. Riverside Park, known for its fantastic tennis courts, is in the vicinity for those that enjoy playing. This is also a great location for those that want to be near a hospital. You actually have two to choose from. On the west is Mt. Sinai Hospital and on the east is Metropolitan Hospital. Those who love to shop? Just a few block over is Park Avenue. I must admit the traffic was always pretty slow - probably because of the hospital? I would recommend walking for most anything.

"If You Like to Eat - You'll Love East 10th"

Honestly, I don't remember any type of fellowshipping with neighbors and what not when I visited on this street. I do remember the food! There are restaurants up and down the street from all parts of the world. It is a relatively busy street for those seeking peace and quiet.

There is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful library on this street that I would always visit when in town. Grace Church is a beautiful old church to visit. There are also a number of college dorms along this street - so there is definitely a nightlife, when needed.

"Strolling through the Park . . ."

Living on West Broadway is great. What I like about it is that is in super close to NYU. Having been a student, I could be at my class within 10 minutes of leaving my apartment. For exercise, I could walk over to Central Park. With Greenwich Village so close, many Saturdays were spent with friends and shopping in this area. Washington Square Park is also a remakable place to stroll around or catch a show.

"A Kicking Street!"

Delancey Street is in the SOHO district of New York City. It is bustling with culture everywhere you look. The part of Delancey I lived on would be considered a little “rough,” but you can also find some good friends among neighbors. "The Best of Both Worlds"

This is the perfect location in all of NYC. With Seward Park just a stone's throw away (at least for NYC), you get the best of both worlds - greenery and shopping! There are so many wonderful shops nearby. The Williamsburg Bridge's lights are remarkable to watch at night. If you're up for a short walk (at least for NYC), Chinatown is filled with great restaurants and shops.

Going to the University of California, this is a convenient location. Lots of college aged people to hang out with. Located really close to Balboa Park - gigantic - and Marston Mall. Probaby not an area for young kids, as we are a rowdy bunch! Partying is definitely a must when moving into this neighborhood.

"Love living next to those Padres!"

If you want the hustle and bustle, without the smog, confusion, and "cold shoulder" of NY city, G Street, AKA East Village is wonderful. Not only is the weather to die for, but it is about a mile from the San Diego Padres Ballpark. All you Padres fans can be up close and personal with the team. This area is definitely for those that enjoy city life - I’m single so I have no need for all the amenities involved with the suburbs. This neighborhood is also convenient when you have to jump on the expressway - about 3 minutes away.
