Broadway, Civic Center

Located on Broadway Street, H&H bagels is one of the most famous breakfast spots in all of New York City. Many claim that H&H has the best bagels on the whole island. Beginning in 1972 it is now the largest bagel manufacturer in the world. H&H delivers its kosher bagels worldwide. It is my favorite part of Broadway Street. I try to make a visit there every time I'm in the big apple. I would recommend this breakfast/lunch sensation to anyone who is looking for delicious and inexpensive meal.

Broadway is the longest street of NYC (more than 25 kilometers). You can find everything in Broadway from commercial buildings with thousands of companies and organizations to art galleries, museums, cinemas, theaters and various shopping centers. Eating out is great there, it will satisfy every taste. Broadway is a synonym of American theatrical art; you can see great performances there.

Broadway is the most fantastic street. In the heart of the the theater district on Broadway you will find shows for all ages. Shopping centers everywhere you turn. The billboards and lights of Broadway make night turn into day. Broadway is fun for all ages. I remember first walking on Broadway street and seeing Julianna Marguilles from er. She had come out of viewing a show. It was great.

1626 Broadway, located in the heart of Midtown New York, is Carolines on Broadway -- a very popular comedy club, owned by Caroline Hirsh. Originally located at the South Street Seaport, Caroline's moved into the midtown area a number of years ago, making its home among the hustle and bustle.

Featuring evening shows of comedy every day of the week, Caroline's is a great spot to hit when you are looking to find the latest comedians hitting the stage: John Pinette, Daryl Hammond, and Gilbert Godfrey appear there quite regularly.

Living on West Broadway is great. What I like about it is that is in super close to NYU. Having been a student, I could be at my class within 10 minutes of leaving my apartment. For exercise, I could walk over to Central Park. With Greenwich Village so close, many Saturdays were spent with friends and shopping in this area. Washington Square Park is also a remakable place to stroll around or catch a show.

Most of us have heard of Broadway In Manhanttan, some of even dreamed of working there, but there is more of Broaway to visit than the theater distric. Take for example the shopping area of Soho, you can find some of the most popular brands, some may not be affordable, but thats the beauty of it you can always walk a little and find something affordable. Broadway is extensive and for the regular visitor like me and doesnt fail to show me something different every time. In one of my favorite trips to this street I found Ellen stardust cafe, to me it was a perfect example of Brodway. A crasy, yet controlled mixed of brilliance, insanity and dreams.
On the pratical side Broadway is great because it travel for ever and it can take you anywhere, it is busy and the sidewalks sometimes a little hard to get by, But the heart of New York after all.

I think people are amazed at what they actually see when they step onto Broadway. I don't think anyone has a clear picture of it in their mind. It isn't just a little row of theatres. Actually, there isn't anything "little" about it. It wasn't given the name "Broadway" for nothing. It is so wide! I don't have to say much about the theatres as that seems to be the only thing most people know about this street. If you really want to see Broadway then I would suggest that you plan to stay on it for one whole day, maybe even more. If you are there for shopping, pick your battles. I mean, you have lots of great stores but many can be found all over the US. Save Victoria Secrets for the local mall back home. Instead look for all of the great vintage clothing stores! I've never found anything on Broadway to eat that really just made me want to tell the world about it. But if you just slip off to a side-street, you can find some tasty stuff. That also gives you a break from the crazy side-walk crowds for a bit.

Broadway in the Upper West Side (Broadway spans the entire isle of Manhattan, so to review the entire street would take quite a while), has something to offer everyone. There are expensive restaurants like the French bistro Alouette, a small outfit with a pleasant and stylish atmosphere, and there are really inexpensive places like Broadway Delights – a sliver of a sandwich shop that I’ve never heard anything bad about.
To make it in this fancy neighborhood, the food has to be pretty good, so a good restaurant gauge is to find out how long the particular restaurant you want to visit has actually been in business.

Before you come to New York the name Broadway means theatres but when you actually come to the street, it’s amazing how long it is, how wide it is (yes, it is aptly name) and the fact that it caters for so much more than plays and productions. The fact that the road stretches all the way down to the Bronx means it can take up the best part of a day when sightseeing and its well worth adding to your travel plans. You may not be welcomed in the Canyon of Heroes with a tickertape parade but it is a great street that you should see, especially if you are after vintage clothes as there is an abundance of outlets on this stretch of road.

There is too much to write about Broadway. It goes from the southern tip of Manhattan to the Bronx, and it crosses many interesting place like, for example, the crowded Theater District. The part of Broadway that I like better is around the Columbia campus. The campus itself is worth a visit. Its contrast with the surrounding is amazing: A British-style College in Harlem. The landscape is also interesting; a series of ups and downs, which create an impression of open space. There are interesting bookstores up there, where you can find good bargains.

I lived on the corner of Broadway in the East Village for a bit, and though it may seem like it would be a bit of a pain, it wasn’t really that bad. During the summer there were a lot of homeless people around, but I never really went down the street except to visit the local Duane Reade. There was constant daytime traffic, but the nights weren’t too bad – it was generally a pretty quiet place to be at night.

There is something very magical about the lights of Broadway. Visitors who are looking to grab a great show will find their way here inevitably and the entire area caters to the theater crowd making the atmosphere both warm and rich. It does get crowded and I wouldn't drag the wee ones on an exbition to the area, but I do love it! The 1,2,3 all stop at 42nd and Broadway. the Q,R,S and W subways all have a stop on Broadway.

Brodway in New York is different with another street i have seen on my country. I'm come from Indonesia and i ever came to New York and walk on this street Brodway street. Just looking around and see what this street have. High building and unique because i'm never see like it. Have many object such as Bowling Green, Madison Square. Wow cool, i miss it.

Broadway can be considered the heart and soul of Manhattan. The street is best known for it's theatrical connotations, but there is far more happening on Broadway. The strip, which stretches through the city has great shopping in the SOHO area, with great brand name stores and interesting boutiques.

The theater district is what most people associate Broadway with and it's beautiful and breathtaking. Walking past the theaters, adorned with show posters and billing is an amazing experience. If there is one place in Manhattan that is overpriced this would have to be it. Eating in the area can be expensive and it's incredibly crowded with hoards of tourists both day and night. While it's a site to see I'd keep the kiddos away from the area unless explicitly heading in to see a play; the crowds can be insane.

The main Broadway is usually full of tourists. Not just in the theater district, but extending all the way to the Soho area. However, the shopping does get pretty sweet when you hit downtown. The secret? Wander a little off the main Broadway into the great boutiques on Greene, Prince, Howard, and Canal. Great places to go like Opening Ceremony, Intermix, the Apple Store, etc. Broadway has mainstream stuff like Uniqlo, H&M, and American Eagle. (HOWEVER Topshop is opening in October! Expect lighter wallets all over New York.)

Definitely one of the best streets on earth...Plenty of theaters, live and cinematic, to make your wallet lighter if you know what I mean. Consider this to be an ideal location to bring your visiting relative or to spend your last $1000 on before you move out of the country. Slightly overpriced slight under spread, the street is a little bit tighter than its travelers need but oh well this is new york at its best!

Broadway is old and a wide street in New York. It gained fame for America's theater industry. In broad way there are many public theaters where in many musical concerts and plays are performed. A night at Broadway offers beautiful view with streets lit with huge street lamps. This street has many clubs and restaurants and hotels offering a reasonable stay. It is a nice place to be if you are a theater fan.

Try to keep in mind when you visit Broadway how very long it is. Also give some thought to visiting parts of the street that are not in Times Square! There's more to this incredible avenue than overpriced Disney themed stores. As a tourist you might gasp at the prices for your meals or souvenirs, but I guarantee you that if you will just take, for instance, the M104 bus up to Broadway in the 70s, 80s, 90s and above, you will be stunned at how different it is. I Go to Gray's Papaya at 72nd and Broadway, to the West Side diner at 82nd and Broadway, to Zabar's in the low 80s, to Fairway Market at 74th and Broadway, to the wonderful different international restaurants all the way up and down. Stop at 125th street and go east to explore that great street too. Not to mention that the M104 also turns east at 42nd Street and goes as far east as the UN, which you were going to see also, right? You could spend your whole trip just on Broadway! Don't let it be limited.

Originally built by Arthur Hammerstein the theater was remodeled for television in 1950 and renamed for the variety show in 1967 and is is located 1697-1699 Broadway between 53rd and 54th Street. The theater has 400 seats and has hosted the Late Show since 1993. Most of the stores featured on the show are in close proximity to the theater. The Hello Deli is around the Corner on 53rd St. The Jamba Juice and Starbucks are across Broadway as is the infamous Flashdancers. During taping this is a great place to see stars getting out of limos if thats your thing.

Who doesn't love Broadway? Who doesn't dream of Broadway? Of course, no one can deny that it completely lives up to all the hype. So much culture... So much excitement. I just visited New York last year for about the hundredth time, and Broadway just makes me fall in love with it all over again.

Broadway is the place to be if you want culture and fun. The greatest musicals and plays in the world are played here first. Broadway is the home of shows like Phantom of the Opera and Sweeney Todd. It's tons of fun, especially some of the newer shows that people haven't had much a chance to hear about yet. If you are a fan of musicals you are required to visit Broadway at least once. This place is fun for everyone of every age from every demographic no matter what.

Broadway Avenue is the best place to catch the greatest plays, musicals, or any other theatrical shows of all time--they run shows of the legendary musicals such as Cats down to Les Miserables. If you’re a tourist in New York, your trip would not be complete without watching a play in this avenue.

This street has it all. It has great food, great shopping, great fun, and because it is such a tourist spot, it is full of hot girls. I recommend coming here if you are looking for a good meal, or just a good time. you do have to bring a good amount of money, but it is worth every cent you spend here in shops like Toys r us, virgin records, and even the MTV store.
