"Creepy area to be jogging"

This area during the day have a lot of people that ride their bike, roller-blade or flying a kit with their kids. But, at night this area is pretty creepy. The chilly air from the shore and the bad lighting from the few lights there makes the area pretty spooky. There's a play ground just across the BeltPkwy that usually you'll find some teenagers play hand-ball or just sitting there doing nothing, at least that's how I remembered it . The grass areas are filled with bird droppings and if your not careful you'll have to throw those sneakers out. The traffic on the BeltPkwy is very noisy, Sometimes even if someone is standing next to you talking you won't be able to hear. That and the noise from the ocean's wind makes it pretty difficult to understand. As a weekend get away, I might visit for an hour or so just to get a hot dog from the street vendor, smell the salty ocean. That would be yet. Not the best place to live .

"Hard to find parking"

This area is so hard to find parking. I guess because of all the apartment complex, there never seems to be any space to park. You go around for 2 hours waiting for a spot and the sign says street cleaning at 7am so, you wake up the next morning to move your car and go around another 2 hours finding something. I like this area as rent is cheap and there's many small stores that you can quickly get what you need without driving far. You can simply walk actually. There's a few nice place to eat that wouldn't break your wallet, but the quality of food is not all there. From time to time you'll see guys that pass out flyers and calling out chica chica so, i'm not sure what they want. Rent went for about $600 for a one bedroom apartment heat included. That's pretty reasonable I think. The #7 train is within 10 mins walking distance so, it's pretty nice for people that walk in Manhattan to live here as well. I'm not so sure about the public schools here. I personally wouldn't like my kid to attend school in this neighborhood but that's just a preference.

"Nice area to live"

This area doesn't have all the fancy stores or close by malls, but it's a very nice and quiet area to live. The long island railroad is close by so is the #7 Train that takes you into Manhattan or Flushing,Queens. Parking here at night isn't bad either, most of the residents have parking drive ways so, they don't park on the street. There's a few apartment complex about 5 blocks area toward Roosevelt Ave. Across Queens Blvd there's office max and blockbuster video, getting on the express way is close as well. BQE which is 278 is about 2 blocks away. Everything is about 5 mins driving distance from car washes to food markets. This area is good for people that drive as well as those that don't. Rent is fare around this area compared to Elmhurst which is a few blocks away and a bit higher than Jackson Heights area but, I like this area as it feels much safer and much more quiet. Junior High school is about 6 blocks away for those that has kids.
