Governor's Island

Governor's island, the small island in New York Bay is considered to be a part of Manhattan. This summer the island which hosts several summer festivals and concerts for the season received a record number of visitors. I have never been to Governor's Island ..have any of you visited ?

No. I was thinking about it. Perhaps when I have healed from my surgery, and before leaving town, I'll go visit the island. Thanks for bring it up.

I've never actually been, but one of my roommates went to a few of the aforementioned music festivals and reported back that they were awesome.
